Over October 2018, I flew to China to hand finish a commission for two featured walls for Dior in two of their beautiful stores, one in the city of Changsha and the other in Xi’an, the home of the Terracotta army.
It was the first time a commission had required that a piece of work be enlarged to four times it’s scale and I was also able to hand-finish the work in gold leaf on sit, so an adventure all round! It was an incredible experience and I was hugely inspired by the nature and the culture of China, which I look forward to perhaps incorporating into my new work.
